Got this on sale and I have been using this dock for a week or so now and its been great. Good speeds, seems to be well made, Windows 10 recognized it right away, and when drives are in it is nice and snug.

I rely on these drives for my work PCs, and have trusted WD black going back to the Velociraptor days 20 years back. Only issue I had on latest purchase, was defective drive that had been cut open and repackaged to look like a new return but was defective with "cyclic redundancy error." Luckily Newegg shipped me a fast replacement and that worked first try, as per usual. Whew!

I backed up my NAS in prep for a complete rebuild. I am updating the aging 4TB drives in Synology 4 drive unit. This external drive it just large enough to hold my current accumulated data. Good to update your sata hard disks, either setting up new drives, partitioning, copying files, imaging and things like that. just lift up the plastic cover which is hinged, slide the drive in and once it's set, you just close the cover and hit the on button.

I purchased 4 of the Western Digital 6TB Red hard drives to put in a Synology DS415+ NAS. Each drive gives you about 5.46TB of useable space, I set them up in RAID5 for the NAS. They seem to be very quiet and run at a low temp of @28 - 30C
