In Desktop CPU Processor

Upgraded to this from a Ryzen 5 2600 and let me tell you the difference is incredible. I have this in an Aorus build with a B450M and 1080 ti Extreme. Running with this processor has breathed new life into the 1080 ti at 1440p. Almost every game runs maxed out with at least 60FPS. Noticed substantial increases in Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

This CPU is incredibly fast. For the price you can't beat it. I did an AMD build years ago, and since I didn't want to reward Intel for recent years of mediocrity and lazy innovation, I decided to give AMD another try with their new Ryzen 7000 series. I was blown away!

Due to changes in the internal structure, the clock speed has increased because it can be cooled more than the 7950X3D, and the X3D has been installed while maintaining the same performance as the 9950X. It is the strongest CPU.

I will say that after a month of usage I have not had any of the stability issues I see posted around then internet, but as always, time will tell. ETA: I updated the bios of my MSI MPG Carbon MAX Wifi II the day I received the board to the most current A40 version.

CPU performs well, stable, temps are not an issue with a be quite Pure Rock Pro 3. Upgraded from a Intel i5-6500...... So probably not fair to compare.

If you dont like to go into your motherboard, set the proper settings for your CPU and do various software things like Xbox Game Bar and ext. If you think you only need to run the chipset drivers and memory exp timings in the motherboard, then the 9950X3D2 is for you.
