I like the size and features of the device relative to alternative solutions.

-10 outlets (5 surge = 5 battery back up) -Easy to read display -Ease of use and read on screen features -Protects from spikes (which happens a bit in my case) -Easy swap batteries -Automatic Voltage Regulation. Improves unit efficiency saving electricity -Unit runtime range from 16 minutes to 164 minutes -Lifetime $150K equipment protection policy (site says $250K) -3 year warranty on the unit -Network and Coax protection included So many features, UPS units are so underrated in the electronics (home theater +more) arena, as most of the time people opt for units that equal in value but not the features an UPS offers. And for my personal system (home theater and computer equipment), I once wen for regular surge protectors but using this UPS system has convinced me that I previously made the wrong choice, paying twice as much also. I had been remodeling my house recently and changed several outlets, being that I forgot that I had my PC on and connected to the UPS, many times I had to hit the whole house power switch, no more than 30 minutes at a time and ever two-three hours I would check for new e-mails and no lost of data or programs shutting down. Incredible, it feels great to know that your expensive equipment is connected to a unit that is definitely better than most power surge protectors and don't come with a battery back up, unit always worked as it should. In two occasions I purposely disconnected the unit from the wall receptacle, while playing video games in my console, come to find out the description says 16 min for a LCD TV and XBOX 360, but it lasted more on a LED 55", as LED uses less power. Unfortunately I no longer have a LCD TV and my monitor is LED as well, which still, uses less electricity. I have now swapped my old $100 surge protector from my home theater unit which I happen to use more often, for the UPS unit, there's plenty of space to hide it and the weight tells me there's great quality components inside that unit, the APC UPS is the McIntosh of all surge protectors.

Works as expressed.

Easy setup Clean looking Easy management

- The APC DE600M1 Back-UPS 600 VA 330 watts is a lot smaller than some other similar units. - Just plug it in, plug in whatever devices you want on either battery / surge (5 outlets) or just surge (2 outlets), press the power button and it just goes! - I really enjoy the PowerChute software with the Back-UPS. You can configure the utility to safely shut your computer down under specific circumstances (either when the computer has been using the battery backup for a selected amount of time OR shut your computer down when the battery only has a selected amount of time left). Connect the USB cable from the Back-UPS to your computer. Download the PowerChute software from APC-dot-com. Run the installer and you’re good to go. Launch the PowerChute software and you get different options like Monitor System (Performance, Current Status, Run Self-Test, and Energy Usage), Configuration (Options, Run-time, Notification, Sensitivity, and Voltage), Help and Support (Help, Technical Data, Contact APC, and About). While you could use this as a stand-alone battery backup, the Back-UPS’s full potential is unlocked when you use PowerChute! - It has a USB port on the Back-UPS for charging your mobile devices (1.5A).

nice spacing between outlets

Well packed manufacturer packaging. Very clear multi-lingual user manual that is well worth the time reading the few pages in your chosen language. Very clear warning markers attached to UPS. Very difficult to install and use this unit without seeing the warning marker to connect the internal batteries. Silent operation; it does not have any fans on/in it that I can tell. Novel "master slave" outlet pairing. Lose power to the "master" device and the "slave" device turns off immediately. The manual tells me this feature is disabled by default, but read the user manual carefully to fully understand it's operation.

8 Ports, LCD Read out is fairly accurate, Rack Mountable, Good runtime at indicated 60% load.

mounted to the wall easily. everything works as expected

- Quiet - Nice design - Small footprint - APC Reputation - LCD display shuts off after a few seconds

Small and easily concealed. APC is a trusted brand in UPS makers.

Nicely-sized, great appearance, quiet and functionally effective. Great for most non-gamer desktops. Great software, easy to install and set up. Informative power panel.

Easy to install and set up. Provides four 110v receptacles that include surge protection and battery back up. In addition there are four plugs that just have surge protection. This allows separation of critical and non-critical devices.

Set up easy, works as expected.

Been waiting for a storm to submit a review. This unit maintained my internet connection during a Tornado Warning and subsequent power outage. I love it!

The UPS is small and fits on top of my desk where i can see everything that is happening. Has lots of plugs for everything you need plus two usb ports.
