This Wavlink USB Hub is compact, seems to be built very well, and has a great look and finish. The USB cable is not too long or too short, just about right to allow flexible placement of the hub. When attached to a PC, the hub remains transparent (hot swap) until a USB device is plugged into the hub. An external power source is not supplied with the hub. However, there is an external 5V DC power plug available in case some external device needs power that the USB port cannot supply. No USB performance testing was was done. High performance is not a priority for me. The hub worked fine on a couple different Windows PCs with different OS'es and USB ports (2.0, 3.0). The hub seems flexible and reliable, most important for me. Soon, after testing, my wife had a need for the hub. So, I may not see the it again. Maybe we can share?
