Very easy to setup and use. I am using this as a place to backup critical data (about 600 MB and growing) and to stream media in my home (about 1.8 TB and growing). Updating my backups or media to stream is as easy as copying the files where they need to go.

Works right out of the box - easy to set up with some YouTube tutorial help to get the settings I want. Loving how easy it is to manage, install my docker apps, and configure to what I like. You can keep it as easy or as complicated as you like. I was brand new to the NAS world and am happy with my UGREEN so far.

Happy to have 6 gb total all working ; didnt want to take a risk to go above 6 gb that isnt on the compatibility list

Easy to setup. Nice UI. Aesthetically pleasing unit. 2.5 gig NIC. Not much taller than the drives themselves.

Easy to upgrade memory took sodimm ddr4 3200 16 gig. Qnap went to soldered on memory on new machines suppossedly due to a ram shortage so now you can not upgrade their ram so this was a HUGE no no for me. I was a Qnap lover, but a friend has a older version of this and I thought i'd give em a try. Software looks almost identical to a Qnap so was easy for me to get in and go. 2x2.5 gb networking. it does transfer very quickly. 4X Gen 3 m.2 (NOTE THESE GET HOT). I used heat sinks for all 4 and have had zero problems. It's worth a few bucks to toss heat sinks on em. if your only going to cache boost with em get small cheapies they run much cooler. Took a few tries to get the setup I wanted with my raid and SSD caching. This was a neck and neck with Qnap ts464. its cheaper and does the same stuff, but you can upgrade the ram. I have both this and the Qnap ts464 this is my favorite. This thing for Plex is a beast! transcodes multiple streams like a champ.

This QNAP runs quickly and quietly. The VM is Microsoft Server 2019, and it is very fast. I have it configured to boot off of a RAID-1 SSD drive array, and the AMD Ryzen processor is very fast. Adding RAM and the SSD drives was EASY. Very nice design on the case, easy access 3 screws and that was it. I added five 16-TB drives in RAID-5, and it is used as a Veeam Offsite Repository target server.

Good configuration for RAID-6/SHR-2 10GbE (optional card) is high bandwidth (650-700 MB/s with RAID-6) NVMe (optional) available in addition to network adapter Migration Assistant worked well (Hyper Backup would have been 2nd choice) DiskStation Manager (DSM) software--big feature set

UPDATE: found the problem - Restrict NTLM: Incoming NTLM traffic Restrict NTLM: Outgoing NTLM traffic to remote servers these will break ability to get to the device cant access over network from domain joined machines. dead clean win10 connects fine. still trying to figure out what is stopping machines from connecting. will update if/when i figure it out.
