Ran 4 of these in a storage array for a few years. They replaced a similar array built on smaller SATA drives. Needless to say, they're muuuuch faster than the SATA drives.

1. Effortless setup, plug and play. 2. The speed is really fast, transferring large files pretty quick and easy. 3. The performance is so far consistent and it maintains high speeds during use. 4. The Compact and portable size makes it very appealing to carry on-the-go.

Hot-Swap capability, fast communication, ease of use

A good amount of storage for a reasonable price.

I was a little leery about buying this, having been burned in times past, but I'm happy to report it does exactly what it says: Makes a true SAS hard drive visible via USB. I tested it under Linux (Kubuntu 24.04 LTS), with an old HP 146GB 2.5" drive, and experimented with both wxHexEditor and the standard Linux partition editor. I was able to, with the hex editor, literally step through every sector/byte on the drive and easily alter or search. This is a Great Thing for file recovery and similar disk forensics. As far as the partition editor goes, I was able to create a standard FAT32 partition on the SAS disk and write/read files on it. Was it the fastest thing on the planet? Of course not. You're going through the overhead of a USB port plus the USB-to-SAS bridge circuitry. But it WORKED!

Smooth rounded aluminum

Works as described. Excellent reviews for need to have long term storage solutions. Videos and RAW photos pile up quick. This solves my immediate issues.

Very nice drive for the price - speedy and runs quiet. Got the best rating I could get from a disk drive (5.9) from the original 2 I ordered and, at this price, I decided to order 2 more for a RAID setup.

Lots of space, great speed for size.

Fast installation. The days of initializing and formatting is gone. With DDR4 RAM, it couldn't have taken a minute or two to transfer over 20 gig of data. It's fast and better than expected as a back-up drive with my "built-in" SSD in my new laptop (from Newegg, of coarse). Unbelievable... Now, we'll see if it can last as long as my Windows 95 Seagate (1998) laptop drive (1996 IBM lap.). But, this is unbelievable— fast and easy.

Excellent drive, performs as expected. Great add on to my surveillance system as a 2nd drive.
