10/100/1000 on copper port

Originally I purchased a similar product of a different brand from a local store but had to return it because it was pathetically slow despite its claim of gigabit ethernet speed. Then I found a review giving high marks to the Tripplite U336-000-R USB to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. I've had good luck with Tripplite products and a visit to Tripplite's website revealed they have drivers for Windows 10, so I went ahead and made the purchase via Newegg. Great price! When it arrived, I tested it out on two different Windows 10 systems. Installed the drivers then plugged in the adapter. Internet access came right up and proved to be fast as I had hoped. If you want to have a hard-wired gigabit ethernet connection for a laptop, this is an excellent solution that works (provided your system has a USB 3.0 port).

Forget about range extenders. If your router is Moca capable this is the way to go. If you have the latest Xfinity router with X1 then most likely your router is moca capable. The X1 system uses moca to talk to the smaller boxes such as the Pace Xi3. Use a cable splitter at one of the smaller boxes. Send one signal to the Xi3 the other to a wireless access point or router.
