How long is the optical cable?

I did not get a tape measurer to exactly give you a specific length but seemed to be around 9 to 10 feet in length. So, depending on your setup I guess the cable could be rather short thus limiting mounting locations.

Can it use in Thailand?

These run at 110 volts, I believe in thailand your electrical outlets are 220 volts, if you plug these in you will fry the circuitry in them. You will need to buy a power reducer, you can get one cheap there to cover 500 watts of power and you will be ok.

Is the kid in the overview page wearing headphones a testament to the quality of these speakers?

The speakers do have a headphone jack. But then that would be a question about headphones (assuming you understand basic computer). As to the quality of the speakers.. I rarely get them up to a half and everything in the house is rattling. Deep booming bass. Best cheap speakers yet.

400 Watts of powerful sound
400Watts of Peak / 200Watts RMS power delivers amped audio.
So let's break this down:
You have:  2 Satellite RMS Power /ea 35 Watts = 70, Plus Subwoofer RMS Power @ 130 Watts = 200 Watts Total. So my question is, how am I ever going to get 400 Watts of performance from these speakers - even peak?
200 X 1.414 = 282 - not 400. Mind you, I have these speakers and was expecting something close to 400 watts of sound and while they sound OK for what the do, I'm way short of having 400 watts of performance - unless I've missed something in how to get them to do so, ei; multiple inputs or something. Please advise......

I know from past experiance when computer speakers show a max say of 400 watts like these, the Z-5500 were listed at 1000 watts, when hooked them up to a computer I only get half that 500 watts. I'm not sure if there is a way around that. So with these you may only get 200 watts at most.

Question 8

I have an ASUS Xonar DGX sound card. When I plug the optical from the sound card to the speakers i get no audio. I get audio with the 3.5mm cable. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,  When I set these up with optical, I had to change the playback device in windows.. This can be done by right clicking the sound icon on your taskbar and clicking playback device (win 10).  Hope this helps!

What is the maximum sample rate and bit depth this supports when used via optical? What is the maximum when used via 3.5mm cable?

It depends on your sound card. I am using it with 24bit 96Khz. My sound card also has an option for 24bit 192Khz, but speakers refuse to play this rate.
