is this a powered adapter? DVI D to VGA doesnt work as DVI D is digital only and not analog.

I don’t think it needs to be powered. I’m using the adapter to connect my Nvidia GTX 1060 gpu (which only has a dvi-d out) to my old monitor by VGA, and everything works fine.
