Does this mouse require the little usb signal plug-in? I'm looking for a mouse that doesn't require using one of my USB ports. Thanks.

Hello, Unfortunately I am afraid the only type of mice that can do that are bluetooth mice. All wireless mice come with a USB dongle to pair the unit with the PC/Laptop. Without it the mouse won't be connected to anything (unless your laptop has bluetooth enabled and is synced to the mouse in that fashion). Sorry for the inconvenience, hope this helps!
