How is this any better than the Time Machine feature that is built-into Mac OS X that already backs up the Operating System, all apps and all your data / settings?

Produce is terrible as far as my experience was concerned. Their documentation is poor and failed to tell me that it is not compatible with my Mac mini. I use Superduper instead.

Difference is that Superduper and Acronis if it worked create bootable images you can use to totally restore your OS or move it to a new hard drive
